概述
To derive the PDEs that arise from scientific and engineering applications. To understand the analysis and to construct the solutions of those basic PDEs. The syllabus is as follows. 1. Heat equation 2. Method of separation of variables 3. Fourier series 4. Wave equation 5. Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problems 6. Higher-dimensional PDEs
