This course examines topics associated with the science of electronic – (primarily) semiconducting- materials. The relationships between electronic and physics properties to better understand why certain materials are chosen for functions are understood through the several topics. This course will be given by four parts with different lecturers---1. Semiconductors (Edward Yi Chang) 2. Polymer and Composites (Kung Hwa Wei) 3.Metals and Alloys (King Ning Tu) 4. Electrical Ceramics (H.D. Chen)
