概述

[1] In view of the growing consensus that writing is a social and conversational act, this course is designed to polish students' essay writing skills through asking students to participate in ongoing conversations about important public issues. [2] The textbook used in this course demystifies academic writing by isolating its basic moves, explaining them clearly, and representing them in the form of templates.
