Students form groups to work with individual professors on different projects. The goal is to train our students to have a capability doing independent research and also collaborative work. There are invited talks in weeks 2 and 3 by senior students or alumni who have won project contests before. Then there will be no class until the semester-end review in the form of poster sessions, where scores are given by the instructor and peer students. The department of Computer Science shall hold a project contest November 13 (Wed) 12:30-3:30PM (preliminary contest) and December 25 (Wed) 12:30-3:30PM (final contest), where students in this course are encouraged to participate. Winners will receive extra credits.
