This course provides students with knowledge of theories and methodology regarding the field of Computer-Mediated Communication. Three major research areas covered are: interpersonal communication, group communication, and organizational communication. Research topics concerning Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) systems and new trending (social) media applications, as well as digital/online journalism will also be covered. This seminar course requires students to write reflections on weekly readings and participate in class discussions. Students will write and present a final paper demonstrating their learning and knowledge of the course related materials.
