有機化學(二)

The objective of the course is to study the chemical properties of different functional groups in organic molecules, the basic concepts of some specific instrumental techniques such as NMR-spectroscopy, IR-spectroscopy, and mass spectrometers, etc, and their application for characterization of organic compounds.

Students who register for the organic chemistry II should have passed the module 1 and module 2 examinations in the organic chemistry I.

No assignment for the course. Students are recommended to solve the problems given in the end of each chapter. The problems can strengthen the chemistry concepts. Solutions for problems will be given upon request. Grading: Students are graded based on the average score of the module 3 and the module 4 examinations. Passing mark is 60 or above. Module 3 examination covers chapters 11-15 and module 4 examination covers chapters 16-19. The module 3 and 4 examinations will be held on April-25-2020 (Sat.) and on July-25-2020 (Sat.).
