入門華語(一)

This course is comprised of listening, speaking, reading and writing lessons. The course is designed for beginners to use basic dialogues in our daily life, and to read, and write basic and commonly used Chinese characters in dialogue content. Course Objectives: 1. Learn to use Hanyu Pinyin. 2. Learn the structure, stroke order and writing of Chinese characters. 3. Understand basic Chinese sentence patterns, word order, and structure. 4. Acquire basic communication skills, including self-introduction and asking questions. 5. Understand more about Chinese culture.

NOTE: Students MUST attend the first week of class. If you are unable to attend due to any reason, please get an approval from the instructor by email before the school starts. Students fail to show up will be automatically dropped from the course.

Students who have more than 3 unexcused absences, or absent more than 1/3 of course hours will get a failure. 3. Complete assignments on time. Late homework will not be accepted. 4. The lecturer reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule based on the actual progress of the class and other unexpected circumstances.
