This course is designe d to highlight areas of microbial biotechnology and medical microbiology research currently capturing the interest of pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and poised to grow in importance over the next few years. Students will have basic knowledge in bac teria, virus and fungi. The concepts on microbial drug discovery for probiotics and potential therap eutic biological drug will also be covered.
