本課程以主題方式(機構、權力、技術、分類及經驗),深入討論西方現代精神醫學從十九世紀初到二十世紀中葉的發展。課程內容除特別強調醫學知識、技術與社會相互形塑的動力關係外,也同時介紹近年來與精神醫學史領域重要之研究成果。
