The purpose of this course is to provide students an overview of adolescent health, which includes physical (e.g., risky behavior), mental (e.g., subjective wellbeing) and social (e.g., education attainment). Furthermore, the class will also discuss some social contexts related to adolescent health, such as family and school. In addition, we will also discuss some ideas of doing research (e.g., statistical application and ideal). Through the discussion, this course hopes to stir up students’ “interests in adolescent development and health”.

1. Small presentation: Presenting one article related to your research idea (30%) 2. Final report: Any topic that is related to adolescent health (55%) I. Presentation (20%): PPT due 1 day before your presentation. II. Written report (30%): 4-5 pages of written report on your final research topic. Do include: Introduction, literature review, and hypotheses. Optional including: possible data source and analytical strategy. 3. Class participation (15%): Participating course discussion and giving feedback to the instructor.
