This course provides an introduction to data analysis, focusing on data science and visualization of biomedical applications. It starts with an introduction of data analysis techniques to depict the relationships and associations of data. Statistical plots and summary statistics are introduced for data visualization. Then, inferences for numeric and categorical data are introduced for descriptive statistics. After that, data exploration, modification and regression analysis are covered. The class comprises a mix of lectures and hands-on demonstration of analytic techniques. The coursework includes analytic exercises, final project implementation and course projects.
