This basic course is specially designed to further develop a broader range of vocabulary and sentence structures for those foreign students who had taken Chinese 1 course in NYCU. The course is designed as an integrated 4-skill (listening, speaking, writing & reading) curriculum for students to acquire the ability of daily communication in Chinese. Students, at the end of this course, are expected to be able to: - communicate with Chinese native speakers at normal speed with familiar vocabulary, such as "Where is your lab?", "What is near your school?" - invite someone by using time and place- comprehend short written passages with familiar vocabulary - know more radicals.
Prerequisite: Chinese I or equivalent

1. Make up quiz, test, presentations are “NOT” acceptable. Only if absent because of “health issue”, please show an official prove of hospital to get permission of make up test or quiz. 2. The syllabus can be modified during the semester depending on the condition of students’ learning. 3. Absence for 3 times without a valid excuse or more than 6 times will result in a failing grade for the entire course.
